Requirements

• Must be bilingual with fluency in English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills in both.
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven ability to write, edit, and produce content under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and editorial standards.
• Willingness to join AFTRA as this position may be covered by the AFTRA collective bargaining agreement.
• Experience line-producing newscasts.
• Experience editing content on a desktop editing system.
• Ability to make priority decisions under a deadline.
• Strong ability to deliver news as it is developing on all platforms.
• Team player mentality.

Responsibilities

• Produce, write, and edit content in both languages across broadcast, digital, and social platforms.
• Line-produce newscasts or content streams, building rundowns and ensuring smooth execution from start to finish.
• Collaborate with assignment desk, reporters, anchors, managers, and digital teams to plan and deliver daily coverage.
• Write clear, accurate, and engaging scripts, headlines, and copy that connect with multilingual audiences.
• Translate and adapt content to maintain accuracy, tone, and cultural relevance.
• Contribute story ideas and participate in editorial meetings, helping shape coverage decisions.
• Monitor breaking news and adjust rundowns and scripts in real time, maintaining composure in high-pressure situations.
• Edit video and incorporate graphics to enhance storytelling across platforms.
• Maintain strong awareness of local and national news, with a deep understanding of the Philadelphia market.
• Ensure all content meets journalistic standards for accuracy, fairness, and credibility.
