Vortex Metal Manufacturing is looking for a Duct Assembler to join our team! The Duct Assembler is a motivated individual willing to learn the industry from an entry-level position. The responsibility of the Duct Assembler is to be a reliable team member who can complete tasks assigned within the manufacturing environment with pre-established guidelines. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Must be able to use a tape measure and read labels.
  • Experienced working within a team environment focused on clear and concise communication.
  • Demonstrate internal sense of motivation toward producing products of the highest quality on a consistent basis.
  • Must have a valid Virginia driver’s license.
  • Must have positive points on state driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age unless company approval is granted.
  • Must not have had a DUI, DWI, or reckless driving conviction in the last five years.
  • Must be able to crawl, kneel, squat, and climb.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, unassisted.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble 5’ duct of different gauges and sizes.
  • Quality check assembled duct and avoid waste.
  • Assist the Coil Line Operator with their daily duties and assignments.
  • Assist with set up of tools and equipment.
  • Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
  • Comply with all applicable health and safety rules, regulations, and procedures.
