About The Position

Are you a natural leader with a keen eye for safety and security? Tioga Downs is looking for a Dual Rate Security Supervisor to join our team and help ensure the protection of our customers, associates, and property. In this vital role, you'll take charge of security duties on your shift, overseeing and supporting a team of Security Associates.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrated excellent observational and communication skills.
• Ability to detect any schemes or cheating activity aimed at the company or its’ guests.
• Valid NYS Security Officer License required

Nice To Haves

• Previous Security experience at a Casino is highly preferred
• Previous Supervisory experience is highly preferred

Responsibilities

• Generates necessary written reports regarding security-related incidents involving customers, Associates and/or the facility
• Escorts and observes customers and Associates to ensure their safety and protection, identifies potential safety hazards and report same to the appropriate individual for proper resolution.
• Becomes familiar with hazardous materials used on property, and all applicable laws, rules and regulations governing same.
• Acts as a Dispatcher during emergency situations, coordinates solutions to same, informs outside agencies of any unusual or suspicious situations on property.
• Operates company vehicles as directed to do so.
• Maintains a working knowledge of the Company’s facilities, as well as special events on property in order to advise customers and fellow Associates of same, whenever possible.
• Ensures safe transportation of company moneys, tokes and chips.
• Activates/Deactivates employee and vendor badges based on communication from the HR Department
• Reviews all Daily Activity Reports and prepares Shift Reports for Director of Security.
• Coordinates with the Surveillance Department when Security discovers a matter which needs further investigation or attention.
• Facilitates the flow of information throughout the department by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
• Observes, documents, videotapes, and reports any unusual or suspicious activities on property.
• Regularly inspects the premises, identifying potential safety or security hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate individual or entity, for proper resolution.
• Reviews surveillance tapes and reports, providing detailed information to appropriate company officials and outside agencies, as needed.
• Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
• Makes suggestions and recommendations, as appropriate, with regard to possible changes in the policies and procedures of other departments, with the protection of company assets in mind.
• Maintains a series of critical keys, accessing locked areas as necessary.
• Maintains key logs and key inventory through Key Watcher.
