About The Position

The Dual Ram Baler Operator sets up, maintains, and operates heavy machinery to support the continual and efficient running of production. The operator ensures the machine operates at full capacity, has the materials it needs, is well-maintained, and receives periodic output checks. The position also includes administrative duties and routine machine maintenance. The responsibilities listed are not all-inclusive, and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time.
• Obtain certification in pallet truck and forklift operations on or before the start date in the position.
• Operate a pallet truck or forklift without any part of the body exposed outside the operator compartment.
• Lift a minimum of 67 pounds; bend, stoop, and twist; and stand for long periods of time.
• Successfully complete the Computation, Following Written Directions, and Matching tests before the start date in the position.
• Be able to multitask and communicate orally.
• Have analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and basic mechanical and technical skills.
• Be able to read and understand technical manuals and interpret, understand, and follow instructions.
• Be able to work independently with little supervision, read and write, and solve math problems.
• Work well with others and be a team member.
• Be a current Dacula Distribution associate.
• Have one year of experience operating a Dual Ram Baler.

Responsibilities

• Set up, maintain, and operate the Dual Ram Baler.
• Ensure the machine operates at full capacity and is stocked with needed materials.
• Perform periodic checks on output.
• Complete administrative duties and routine machine maintenance.
• Work nights and be available to work weekends, holidays, and extended periods of time.
