About The Position

The Dual Massage Therapist/Esthetician provides a variety of therapeutic and beauty treatments aimed at relaxing and rejuvenating guests. This role combines the skills of both a massage therapist and an esthetician, ensuring clients receive high-quality bodywork and skincare treatments. The ideal candidate is passionate about wellness, skilled in a range of services, and dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service.

Requirements

  • Valid state license in massage therapy with a minimum of 750 hours and a valid esthetic license.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • Minimum four (4) years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a luxury spa or hospitality environment.
  • Must be at least 18 years’ old
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a genuine passion for exceeding guest expectations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a professional and polished demeanor.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently, while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Knowledge of spa treatments, products, and wellness practices.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Composure in high-pressure situations.
  • Familiarity with reservation management software and POS systems.
  • Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
  • Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
  • Demonstrate ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
  • Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with other colleagues and departments.
  • Demonstrate ability to add, subtract, multiply, or divide quickly, correctly, and in a way that allows one to solve work-related issues.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
  • Stand or walk for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to policies of Proper Hospitality.
  • Performs massage, facial, waxing and body services that meet the established guidelines for the type of service offering and that fulfill guest expectations.
  • Assesses contraindications of guest that may prevent service from taking place.
  • Meets the needs of the guest at all times throughout the service.
  • Understands and uses universal precautions when providing services.
  • Cleans and disinfects all equipment on a daily basis according to CDC guidelines.
  • Maintains the highest level of product knowledge and has complete knowledge of all spa service presently offered.
  • Understands the ingredients in products and can explain their benefits to guests.
  • Answers guests’ questions in a knowledgeable and professional manner.
  • Suggests to guests other beneficial treatments offered in the spa.
  • Upsell products and services.
  • Begins and ends all treatments on time.
  • Works assigned schedule and arrives and departs from their shift on time.
  • Ensures that work areas are clean and set according to procedures.
  • Informs Spa Director or other management personnel about product needs.
  • Creates and maintains client cards and treatment notes, when appropriate.
  • Completes all assigned side work.
  • Attends all scheduled meetings & professional training.
  • Reports any incidents or accidents to a member of the management team.
  • Assist with cleanliness of Spa Locker and Fitness Rooms if needed.
