The Role: Responsible for the repair and maintenance of mechanical, electrical and electronic components to ensure ongoing, cost-effective operations, in a multi-shift environment. Assist with capital and maintenance projects.

Requirements

Detail – oriented with good organizational and interpersonal skills.
Ability to understand electrical systems/programs
Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
Able to prioritize and handle multiple issues.
Able to take direction, both verbal and written, and communicate effectively.
Electronic aptitude.
Analytical aptitude.
Must be computer literate.
Pass mechanical aptitude test.
Trouble shooting capabilities.
Ability to bend frequently and lift heavy equipment as required.
Able to work under stress.
Willingness to work in a team environment.
Valid millwright and / or electrician license.

Responsibilities

Repair and maintain packaging and processing equipment.
Carry out preventative maintenance program.
Perform facility repairs as required.
Repair and maintain high speed PLC controlled equipment.
Provide technical expertise and support to production management.
Assist the Maintenance and Engineering team with projects and equipment upgrades.
Repair, upgrade and install electronic controls and equipment.
Program and modify PLC’s.
Work together with equipment Operators to improve line efficiency.
