About The Position

This is a full-time, 9-month, non-tenure track (renewable) position for a Dual Credit Lecturer or Adjunct Instructor in Psychology. The primary obligation is to teach PSY 1302 (Introduction to Psychology) during Spring and Fall semesters with a 5/5 teaching load and a 25-student cap per class. Classes will be conducted online and on Eagle Pass ISD campuses. Relocation to Eagle Pass is required. The instructor will utilize pre-designed course shells and syllabi, but will be responsible for updates after hire. Other duties and courses may be assigned if dual credit needs fall below 5 courses per semester. The role requires conducting core assessments, providing required documentation at the end of each term, and promoting a safe and civil learning environment. Adherence to SRSU’s online standards for instructor presence, student engagement, and assessment is expected. The instructor should have an invested interest in working with online technologies and disciplinary knowledge, effectively incorporating updates to enhance relevancy, accessibility, and communication with students. A professional attitude, philosophy, compassion, and commitment that promotes student growth and learning, and fosters effective working relations with the university community are essential.

Requirements

  • Must have work authorization in the U.S. that does not require visa sponsorship by the employer.
  • Relocation to Eagle Pass is required.
