About The Position

SRSU seeks qualified, adjunct/part-time instructors to teach dual credit students enrolled in freshman- and sophomore-level university courses in History. This position involves teaching online, synchronous courses at a variety of days and times. The instructor will be responsible for creating engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material, using a course syllabus for each course following established institutional guidelines, and evaluating students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives, informing them in a timely manner of their progress. The role also requires maintaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.

Requirements

  • Qualified to teach dual credit students enrolled in freshman- and sophomore-level university courses in History
  • Ability to teach online, synchronous courses
  • Ability to create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
  • Ability to use a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
  • Ability to evaluate students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and inform students in a timely manner of their progress
  • Ability to maintain professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
  • Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others; must exercise due caution and practice safe work habits at all times.
