About The Position

SRSU seeks qualified, adjunct/part-time instructors to teach dual credit students enrolled in freshman- and sophomore-level university courses in Criminal Justice. This position involves teaching online, synchronous courses at various times, creating engaging lessons, using established course syllabi, evaluating student progress, and maintaining professional relationships.

• Qualified, adjunct/part-time instructors
• Teach dual credit students enrolled in freshman- and sophomore-level university courses in Criminal Justice
• Security Sensitive: This position is classified as Security-Sensitive and is thereby subject to the provisions of Texas Education Code §51.215 and Texas Government Code §411.094, which authorize employers to obtain and review criminal history record information for applicants.

Responsibilities

• Teach online, synchronous courses at a variety of days and times
• Create engaging lessons that promote student involvement and application of the material
• Use a course syllabus for each course, following established institutional guidelines
• Evaluates students to measure their progress in achieving course objectives and informs students in a timely manner of their progress
• Maintains professional relationships with students, colleagues, and the community.
• Responsible for personal safety and the safety of others; must exercise due caution and practice safe work habits at all times.
