About The Position
Brighter Heights Maine is looking for engaging and patient DSPs to work in our 3 resident Winthrop home. This is a part-time position with set hours.
Requirements
- Must have High School Diploma or GED
- One year of experience with adults in a supervised setting
- Must have strong Communication and computer skills
- Must have up to date state mandated immunizations
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Nice To Haves
- An existing DSP Certificate is desired.
- A Certified Residential Medication Aide Certificate (CRMA) is highly preferred.
- We will provide CRMA training at no cost to you if needed.
Responsibilities
- Work with our clients, their families and other service providers to promote independence.
- Help them develop daily living skills.
- Provide direct care.
- Administer medication if you have your CRMA.
- Assist with housekeeping, personal hygiene, transportation, meal prep, grocery shopping.
- Take clients into the community for outings.
- Always maintain respect for our clients and treat them with dignity.
