The DSP, Community Living Services/Residential will be committed to supporting the organization’s mission of ensuring quality support services are provided and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are both respected and afforded opportunities to choose and participate in and access community events, activities, and resources. This role involves supporting individuals in achieving their personal goals and fulfilling their dreams by having a “person-centered” focus. The DSP will teach independent living and daily skills by identifying and meeting social, environmental, and health care needs such as daily grooming and personal care routines. The role also includes actively planning, coordinating, and participating with residents in social activities, including frequent community outings, and instructing, supporting, and participating in performing household tasks with persons served such as cleaning, preparing meals, and food shopping.
