About The Position

T2 has partnered with a well-established and busy contractor supporting multiple openings for experienced Drywall Installers and Metal Stud Framers in the Colorado Springs, CO area. Commercial drywall installers and metal stud framers are responsible for measuring, cutting, fitting, and securing drywall panels and gypsum board products to walls, ceilings, and partitions while constructing and framing interior wall systems according to commercial plans, building codes, fire ratings, and safety standards.

Requirements

5–10 years of commercial drywall and/or metal stud framing experience.
Strong blueprint reading and layout skills.
Proficient with screw guns, drills, drywall saws, laser levels, scaffolding, stilts, and lifts.
Knowledge of commercial building codes, OSHA regulations, and fire-rated assemblies.
Ability to lift 50–100 lbs., work overhead, at heights, and perform repetitive physical tasks.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and floor plans.
Measure and mark installation lines on framing, floors, and ceilings.
Cut drywall panels and create openings for electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and fire suppression systems.
Install and secure drywall to steel or wood framing using screws, adhesives, and power tools.
Install fire-rated, moisture-resistant, acoustic, and impact-resistant drywall systems.
Construct shaft walls, chase walls, and firewall assemblies to specifications.
Install metal corner bead, expansion joints, and edge trims.
Frame commercial walls and partitions using metal studs and track systems.
Coordinate with electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, and finishers.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe jobsite.
