OVERVIEW OF ROLE: As an Interior Foreman in our commercial construction team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the interior construction activities of our projects. This position demands a skilled and detail-oriented individual with a proven track record in commercial construction, a deep understanding of interior construction processes, and excellent leadership abilities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of drywall installation and finishing experience; commercial construction experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience hanging, taping, mudding, sanding, patching, and repairing drywall.
  • Ability to complete drywall finishes up to Level 5 when required.
  • Ability to read basic construction drawings, measurements, and project specifications.
  • Ability to safely operate standard drywall and interior construction tools and equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality finished work.
  • Ability to follow instructions, manage assigned tasks, and work effectively independently or as part of a team.
  • Dependable attendance and willingness to work occasional evenings, weekends, or after-hours service calls.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, customers, and other trades.
  • Commitment to following company safety policies and jobsite regulations.
  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds and perform the physical duties required in an active construction environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of metal stud framing and acoustical ceiling systems is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record may be required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must successfully complete a pre-employment drug screening and physical, if selected.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Interior Foreman in day-to-day activities, including material handling and preparation
  • Follow directions from the Foreman to ensure the smooth operation of interior construction tasks
  • Prepare work areas by organizing materials, tools, and equipment needed for construction activities
  • Ensure the worksite remains clean, organized, and safe throughout the project
  • Install drywall and finish
  • Assist with managing finishers on projects
  • Level 5 as needed on projects
  • Help with installation and assembly of interior construction components, such as drywall, metal stud framing, and acoustical ceilings
  • Support the team in addressing on-site issues, ensuring tasks are completed on schedule
  • Respond to service calls for maintenance or repairs related to completed construction projects
  • Conduct troubleshooting and minor repairs on interior systems, such as drywall patches, ceiling tile replacements, and framing adjustments
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service while addressing client concerns during service visits
  • Be available for after-hours work, including emergency service calls and projects that require work outside of normal business hours
  • Ensure prompt and professional responses to time-sensitive tasks
  • Follow all company safety protocols and adhere to relevant regulations to maintain a safe working environment
  • Report any safety concerns or equipment issues to the Foreman promptly
