The Dryer Technician's general function will be to perform moderately complex work related to the operation and maintenance of a sludge dryer system. This position is under general supervision.

Requirements

A High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent vocational school education required
Two (2) years of related experience in mechanical or electrical repairs required
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, charts and technical repair manuals, work from sketches, building plans, and follow oral and written instructions
Valid Class D driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record required
Or any combination of education and experience that provides the candidates possesses the knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties prescribed to the position

Responsibilities

Operate dryer equipment and delivery systems.
Monitors and manipulates process variables.
Complete chronological log and process worksheets.
Compiles and enters process data and generates SCADA process reports.
Collects process control and regulatory compliance samples.
Monitors biosolids storage distribution.
Assist with deliveries and maintain equipment and spare parts inventory.
Maintains and cleans solids drying facilities and equipment.
Ability to perform lab bench testing and perform preventative maintenance tasks and maintain equipment.
