About The Position

The CBW operator starts and stops the water pumps, tunnel washer, press, shuttle, dryers and conveyors. They monitor and resolve any alarms from the tunnel computer, washex computer and E-Tech computer. Keep the entire CBW area clean of linen and trash, load ragged linen from carts into dryer, clean lint filters daily, clean blower wheels, clean front and rear dryer duct cleanouts.

Requirements

  • Be able to speak, read and write the English language
  • Have a good understanding of computer-based programming
  • Be able to understand & reset equipment alarms
  • Be able to identify linen types
  • Be able to drive a scissors lift safely
  • Be able to work safely around automated equipment
  • Provide own transportation to and from work
  • Be able to work late or early, if required
  • Be on time
  • Have good attendance
  • Work safely
  • Be able to stand on feet 8-10 hours a day
  • Be able to use repetitive arm motions
  • Be able to get along with employees of varying ethnic groups
  • Be able to follow directions given by their supervisor

Responsibilities

  • Resolve computer alarms
  • Circle the two tunnel systems
  • Keep linen picked up off floor
  • Clean CBW and tanks
  • Inspect and clean lint collectors
  • Report any deficiencies to maintenance
  • Start and stop water pumps, tunnel washer, press, shuttle, dryers and conveyors
  • Monitor and resolve any alarms from the tunnel computer, washex computer and E-Tech computer
  • Keep the entire CBW area clean of linen and trash
  • Load ragged linen from carts into dryer
  • Clean lint filters daily
  • Clean blower wheels
  • Clean front and rear dryer duct cleanouts
