About The Position

Music & Arts is seeking a skilled and dedicated drum teacher to teach and inspire students. The teacher creates an engaging, supportive, and safe learning environment for students of varying ages and skill levels. The role includes communicating with students and parents about goals and progress, coordinating with store teams on lesson scheduling and student retention, and using musical expertise to encourage student growth. Music & Arts handles administrative work so instructors can focus on teaching.

The minimum qualifications are a bachelor’s degree in Music Education or Music Performance, or equivalent experience, and two years of music teaching experience. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree in music, professional teaching memberships or certifications, and eight or more years of teaching experience, especially across multiple instruments.

• Eight or more years of teaching experience, especially with multiple instruments, including banjo, baritone, bass clarinet, bass guitar, bassoon, cello, clarinet, flute, French horn, guitar, mandolin, oboe, percussion, piano, piccolo, saxophone, string bass, trombone, trumpet, tuba, ukulele, viola, violin, and voice.

Responsibilities

• Teach music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels.

• Partner with store teams to schedule lessons and encourage student retention.
