Drum Pack Operator - 2nd Shift

About The Position

The Drum Pack Operator packages drum-pack tubular wire for customer use according to route cards or process sheets and production schedule requirements. The operator runs multiple machines, follows machine setup, production, and packaging specifications, and performs quality checks. Duties also include machine setup and changeovers, cast and sinewave adjustments, troubleshooting, handling nonconforming products, rework, restocking, housekeeping, and updating schedules. The operator must work safely and may be trained to operate other machines or processes as needed.

Requirements

Training on applicable Precision, Robo Pack, and Drum Pack machinery is required.
Able to lift approximately 65 pounds continually.
Able to safely load and unload reels in and out of machines.
Able to meet or exceed specified production rates.
Able to meet expectations for safety, attendance, and time management.
Excellent quality record.
Excellent attitude, communication, and teamwork skills.

Forklift experience may be required.

Operate safely and identify and correct unsafe situations.
Follow process specifications for machine setup, production, and packaging.
Run multiple machines.
Perform specified quality checks.
Complete machine setup, changeovers, cast and sinewave adjustments, and troubleshooting in a timely manner.
Place nonconforming products on hold.
Perform rework, restocking, and housekeeping.
Train on and operate other machines or processes as necessary.
Read and update the production schedule.
