About The Position

Would you like to make a difference in the lives of individuals who are impacted by substance use? If so, consider joining the Bureau of County Program Oversight as a Program Analyst in the Treatment Division. This position works directly with our 47 Single County Authorities (SCAs) by monitoring, guiding, supporting, and assisting SCAs through review of treatment needs assessments, treatment and service plans, and/or updates. You will have the opportunity to conduct on-site visits to assess quality of case management, treatment, and treatment-related activities to ensure compliance with federal requirements and best practice standards. As a representative of the Department of Drug and Alcohol Services (DDAP), you will perform professional, consultative, and administrative work on behalf of, and throughout the Commonwealth's Drug and Alcohol Treatment and Service System. Work involves planning, developing, assessing quality, providing technical assistance, and monitoring programs associated with substance use treatment and treatment-related services.

Requirements

  • Two years of professional experience in social service or human development programs including one year of program planning, developing, and monitoring experience of the same; and a bachelor's degree; or Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsibilities

  • Review treatment plans, assess county needs, and evaluate services for compliance with state and federal requirements
  • Collect and interpret program data to support planning, development, and improvement of treatment and recovery services
  • Manage federally funded grants by reviewing budgets, contracts, reports, and project activities
  • Support providers by helping develop policies, procedures, and tools that promote compliance and quality care
  • Work with counties to strengthen recovery services and connect individuals to needed resources
  • Participate in committees, meetings, and community efforts to support common goals and improve statewide services
