About The Position

Merakey is seeking a Drug and Alcohol Therapist to join their team at their Methadone Clinic on Germantown Avenue in Philadelphia, PA. The role involves providing individual and group therapy to individuals receiving substance abuse services. The therapist will be responsible for assessing individuals, recommending appropriate services based on their clinical needs and stage of change, and managing a caseload. This includes maintaining accurate clinical documentation that meets program, local, state, and federal requirements, as well as complying with standards set by Merakey, county/SCA, DDAP, and other licensing/regulatory/payor organizations.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in clinical psychology, counseling psychology, psychology, addictions studies, social work or related field with specialty or concentration in counseling.
• Actively working towards a Professional License (i.e., LPC, LSW, LCSW, LMFT, Licensed Psychologist).
• OR actively working towards a credential through PCB (i.e., CAAC, CADC, CAADC, CCS) or be actively working toward licensure or certification.
• Licensure or certification will need to be achieved within two to three (2 - 3) years of hire, depending on requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual therapy and group therapy to individuals receiving substance abuse services.
• Assess individuals and recommend appropriate services based on clinical need, ability and willingness to participate, and stage of change.
• Manage a caseload of individuals, tracking their treatment progress, engagement level, and treatment needs.
• Maintain strong clinical documentation skills and individual charts meeting program, local, state, and federal documentation requirements and standards.
• Provide necessary documentation maintaining clinical efficacy and integrity.
• Comply with the standards set by Merakey, county/SCA, DDAP, and other licensing/regulatory/payor organizations.
