About The Position

Prairie Ridge Integrated Behavioral Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and motivated Drop-In Center Coordinator to oversee the daily operations of our Drop-In Center while creating a welcoming, recovery-focused environment for individuals receiving behavioral health services. This position combines direct interaction with participants, program coordination, community outreach, and relationship building to help individuals develop life skills, connect with resources, and continue progressing toward their recovery goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services field or 3 years of relevant experience working with adults and/or children diagnosed with multi-occurring disorders.
  • Ability to work independently and creatively in order to provide programs to individuals and groups.
  • Understanding of the mission of Prairie Ridge and the patients we work with.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communication skills, as well as record keeping.
  • Technology skills allowing for proficiency in use of media forms in order to conduct programs.
  • Understanding this is a grant-funded position and may require documentation for grant reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Treat all individuals with dignity and respect while maintaining agency standards of confidentiality, professionalism and objectivity.
  • Provide oversight of the day to day activities of the Drop-In Center.
  • Provide therapeutic conditions of warmth, genuineness, empathy, respect, dignity and direction to all patients.
  • Utilize existing Drop-In Center hours, working with individuals.
  • Attend staff consultation, supervision and training activities with supervisor.
  • Facilitate groups, outreach and educational programs for life skills as needed throughout the week.
  • Assist in evaluating and selecting programs that produce results.
  • Create and maintain collaborative community relationships throughout service area.
  • Maintain all regulatory, contract and documentation standards and data collection and complete necessary documentation in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain a community referral network. Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with community partners, exhibiting effective communication, cooperation, and facilitation skills to create a community space for individuals to go.
  • Desire to work toward CADC.
  • Demonstrate understanding and adherence to all CARF and licensure policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
