About The Position

CTG is seeking to fill a Drools Java Microservices Developer position for our client. This is an opportunity for an experienced developer with strong expertise in Drools, Java, Spring Boot microservices, and Azure cloud technologies.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with Drools and business rule engine development
Proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming principles
Experience with Spring Boot microservices architecture
Strong understanding of REST APIs and distributed systems
Azure cloud services experience including AKS, Azure Functions, App Services, and APIM
Experience with Kafka, Zookeeper, and event-driven architectures
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, GitHub, YAML pipelines, and CI/CD practices
Knowledge of Terraform, ARM Templates, and Infrastructure as Code
Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases including Azure SQL and Cosmos DB
Understanding of monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Monitor and App Insights
Strong troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills

Nice To Haves

Front-end exposure to ReactJS or Angular is a plus
7+ years of enterprise software development experience
Experience building scalable cloud-native applications
Background working in Agile and DevOps environments
Experience supporting highly available distributed systems

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain Java-based microservices using Spring Boot
Design and implement business rules and decision engines using Drools
Build scalable, cloud-native applications within Azure environments
Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven integrations
Support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps automation, and cloud deployments
Integrate enterprise applications and APIs with Drools rule engines
Participate in Agile development, testing, troubleshooting, and production support
Contribute to containerized and event-driven architectures using Azure and Kafka technologies
