Part Time Driver
About The Position
Immanuel Communities is seeking a Part Time Driver to join our team at Immanuel Courtyard, located at 6757 Newport Avenue, Omaha, NE 68152. In this important role, you will safely transport residents to appointments, outings, and community events while creating a positive experience and supporting their independence. You'll also help maintain our fleet of wheelchair-accessible vans and buses and work closely with residents, nursing staff, and fellow team members to ensure exceptional service. This position pays up to $18.86/hour. Pay is based on experience, certifications, skills, and education.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED is required.
- Acceptable Driving Record
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Valid Driver’s license is required.
- In Iowa, Chaueffer's license will be required prior to hire.
- CDL certificate may be required depending on location.
- CNA certificate may be required depending on location.
- Must be able to successfully pass a DOT Medical Exam and obtain a DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
- Hiring is contingent on successfully passing a DOT Medial Exam and obtaining DOT Medial Examiner’s Certificate.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
- Safely transport residents to appointments, outings, and community events.
- Create a positive experience for residents and support their independence.
- Maintain our fleet of wheelchair-accessible vans and buses.
- Work closely with residents, nursing staff, and fellow team members to ensure exceptional service.
- Schedule and transport residents to appointments, outings, and activities.
- Safely operate a motor vehicle.
- Schedule routes.
- Maintain vehicles.
- Carry luggage.
- Assist residents boarding and exiting vehicles.
