Full Time Driver
About The Position
South Central Illinois Mass Transit District in Centralia, IL is actively seeking a responsible and motivated full-time Driver to provide safe and reliable public transportation to the communities we serve. This full-time public transportation position earns a competitive starting wage of $17 an hour (for non CDL) and $17.50 an hour (for CDL with passenger endorsement) plus a $0.50 increase after 90 days. Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- High school diploma, GED, or related experience
- Ability to obtain or possess a Class C CDL with passenger endorsement
- Valid driver's license with a clean record
- Open availability and flexibility with work schedule
- Ability to pass a background check and a drug & alcohol screening

Responsibilities
- Provide safe and reliable public transportation.
- Interact with the public maintaining a cheerful and friendly demeanor.
- Adhere to traffic laws while driving the route to pick up and drop off community members.
- Sanitize and clean vehicles to ensure clients have a pleasant experience.
