About The Position

As a Driver for Country Meadows, you will transport residents safely to and from appointments and provide companionship during their trips. The role includes getting to know residents and offering support according to their needs. This is a PRN, as-needed position during daytime hours, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., in the York (West) area. Weekends, evenings, and holidays are not required. Country Meadows is a family-owned private company based in Hershey, Pennsylvania, with more than 2,500 co-workers. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license.
No major traffic violations in the past three years.
Familiarity with the general location and local roads.
Ability to understand and speak English well enough to perform the job safely and efficiently.
Ability to perform under emergency situations.
Ability to perform the physical tasks required for the role.

Responsibilities

Drive residents to and from appointments according to the transportation schedule and the needs of the facility or campus, using the designated Country Meadows vehicle.
Assist residents with entering and exiting vehicles and, when necessary, with entering or leaving their destination.
Deliver resident paperwork to physician offices and return it to the nurse’s office when the resident returns.
Support the wellness team by encouraging residents’ independence while providing assistance as needed.
Inspect the vehicle daily for safety issues requiring immediate attention.
