This position requires the flexibility of working a split shift. The driver will be responsible for safe vehicle operation, student supervision during transportation, and maintaining safety and security. Daily logs such as van attendance, 1:1 logs, behavioral logs, and fuel purchases must be completed. The driver will follow protocols for loading, unloading, and securing all passengers, including the four-point securement of wheelchairs and scooters when necessary. Additionally, the driver will run program errands, including package deliveries, late runs, and transporting students to workability events and other appointments as needed. Pre-trip and post-trip inspections are required to ensure vehicle and on-board equipment functionality and cleanliness, and any issues requiring maintenance or repair must be reported.
