About The Position

Open Door Mission has existed since 1952 to restore hope and change lives of Rochester's men, women and children. This role involves balancing professional best practices with Christ-centered compassion, providing meaning to the lives of those experiencing homelessness, addiction, or trauma. The Driver is a front-line position representing the organization to corporate partners and reflecting its faith and values.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Clean driving record
• Must be approved per insurance standards, which includes a check for DUI/DWI, history of a suspended license, and/or vehicular manslaughter.
• Must provide employer name, employment dates, and contact information for all roles held within the past 5 years as part of a mandatory 5-year Employment Verification Process.

Responsibilities

• Safely and courteously pick up perishable and non-perishable goods from designated corporate donors and deliver to Open Door Mission.
• Transport students to appointments and other approved events or locations as scheduled.
• Communicate with professionalism and gratitude to varying levels of personnel and external partners.
