About The Position

Upstage Crew Services is actively hiring part-time Drivers to work in the Salt Lake City, Utah market. This role involves long-distance driving to tour locations, coordinating with production management, obeying traffic laws, securing cargo, maintaining logs, ensuring vehicle mechanical soundness, planning routes, and complying with DOT regulations. The driver will also perform daily vehicle maintenance, interact professionally with clients and tour personnel, conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, verify loads, and assist with other departments as needed. The duties and responsibilities listed are not exhaustive and management reserves the right to assign additional tasks.

Requirements

  • Excellent understanding of, and adherence to, safety requirements.
  • Willingness to work diligently with direction and limited supervision.
  • Good problem-solving skills, common sense and good judgment.
  • Use well-developed fine and gross motor skills and exhibit manual dexterity.
  • Ability to regularly lift, push, pull or otherwise move and position a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to hear and communicate verbally as well as read and speak English.
  • Must be able to be contacted and respond on short notice; is required to arrive at work sites on time and ready to work.

Nice To Haves

  • Capabilities with equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, standard and power tools, and audio/video equipment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Long-distance driving to each tour location
  • Communicating and coordinating with tour lead/Production Manager and coordinating activities
  • Obeying and following applicable traffic laws
  • Securing cargo and properly arranging and balancing it within the trailer, done in accordance with the necessary truck pack order required by the tour personnel
  • Maintaining a detailed log of working hours in compliance with state and federal regulations utilizing the MOTIVE ELD system
  • Ensuring any mechanical issues with the vehicle are corrected before driving
  • Planning routes and meeting delivery schedules
  • Complying with DOT rules and regulations
  • Reporting defects, accidents and violations to your supervisor immediately
  • Performing daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.)
  • Interacting with client and tour personnel on the tour in a professional manner
  • Performing pre-and post-trip vehicle inspection reports in MOTIVE ELD
  • Verifying loads for accuracy
  • Assist with all other departments, labor jobs and projects as needed
