About The Position
Sampson Area Transportation (SAT) is actively hiring customer-service focused drivers to assist local residents in need of transportation services. The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, empathetic to the needs of patrons, and good at interacting with the general public. SAT Drivers are responsible for safely and reliably transporting passengers to locations in and around the Sampson County area of operation.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Valid NC Driver's license.
- Meet qualifications as set out in Sampson County's Vehicle Fleet Policy.
- Pass a FTA pre-employment drug test.

Responsibilities
- Operate a motor vehicle to ensure safe transportation of clients.
- Drive vehicles on designated routes and to out-of-town medical appointments.
- Report the need for vehicle maintenance.
- Record mileage and times on forms.
- Collect and account for fares.
- Assist clients as needed.
