About The Position

AdCare Hospital American Addiction Centers is seeking a Driver to operate company vehicles for transporting clients and facility visitors. Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • Must possess a valid MA Driver’s License
  • Must have an insurable driving record
  • At least 2 years previous commercial driving experience
  • Working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations governing safe driving, hours of service, inspection, and maintenance
  • Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edit work for spelling and grammar
  • Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listen and get clarification; respond well to questions; demonstrate group presentation skills; and participate in meetings
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours
  • Prolonged sitting
  • Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds at a time

Responsibilities

  • Operates company vehicle to transport clients and facility visitors.
  • Complies with local traffic regulations.
  • Regulates heating, lighting, and ventilating systems for passenger comfort.
  • Reports delays or accidents.
  • Loads or unloads baggage or express checked by passengers in baggage compartment.
  • Assists passengers to enter and leave the car and holds umbrellas in wet weather.
  • Performs miscellaneous errands such as store runs for patients and mail to and from the post office.
  • Makes overnight drives and extended trips requiring irregular hours.
  • Keeps vehicle clean, polished, and in operating condition.
  • Complies with company dress code.
  • Meets and greets all clients in a professional and polite demeanor during transports.
  • Makes new clients feel welcomed and comfortable during the trip.
  • Answers any questions that new clients may have during transport to help orientate them before arriving at the facility.
  • Complies with the company’s drug-free work environment.
