About The Position

This role involves the safe operation of trucks to load, haul, and unload materials for manufacturing. The driver will deliver and pick up various materials, load and deliver trucks and bodies to different company locations, and deliver trucks to customer sites. Responsibilities include securing loads, driving machinery on ramps, climbing on and off trailers, and backing up with trailers attached. The role also includes operating a Class B rolloff truck to dump and load dumpster containers, delivering them to locations, and hauling them to landfills and transfer stations. The driver is responsible for equipment maintenance, accurate paperwork completion, and adherence to safety regulations and company policies.

Requirements

  • Current CDL
  • Class A CDL
  • A minimum of 2 years of verifiable CDL experience
  • Must be able to pass required background check and drug screen
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds regularly
  • Must be dependable and punctual
  • Demonstrate a commitment to safety

Nice To Haves

  • Preferably 2-year step deck experience but not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and pick up various materials for manufacturing.
  • Load and deliver trucks and bodies to various company locations.
  • Deliver trucks to customer’s site.
  • Secure all loads with chains and/or straps on step deck trailers.
  • Drive trucks and machinery on ramps and climb on and off trailers.
  • Back up with trailers attached.
  • Dump and load dumpster containers on truck (Class B rolloff).
  • Back up to containers to load.
  • Deliver containers to locations.
  • Haul containers to landfill and transfer stations.
  • Safely operate the truck to load, haul and unload.
  • Communicate and work with co-workers and technicians in a professional manner.
  • Ensure the operation of all equipment associated with the trucks, trailers, and containers.
  • Complete and forward paperwork such as timesheets, manifests, and load sheets accurately to the supervisor daily.
  • Ensure trucks are maintained and in good working condition.
  • Fill out Driver’s Vehicle Inspection Report (per DOT Regulations) daily.
  • Attend all required safety meetings.
  • Abide by current laws and organizational policies and procedures.
  • Cooperate with, participate in, and support adherence to internal policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Report pertinent information to the immediate supervisor.
  • Respond to inquiries relating to his/her area or to requests from customers, other personnel, etc.
