Spring Arbor Senior Living – Frederick, MD is hiring a Part-Time Driver (Transportation / Shuttle Driver / Resident Transport) to safely transport our residents while creating a warm, engaging experience along the way. If you enjoy working with seniors, have a clean driving record, and want a stable daytime schedule, this is a great opportunity to join a supportive, team-focused community. You must be able to pass a DOT physical. The Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, courteous and efficient transportation services for the residents of the Community.

Requirements

  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
  • Must possess good judgment, time management, decision making, and safety awareness skills.
  • Must have a positive Criminal Background Screening.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license (Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) if required) for the state where the vehicle is operated.
  • Must have an acceptable Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) record; the record must be checked annually.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT physical.

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport residents to doctor appointments, shopping trips, and local outings
  • Assist residents with entering/exiting the vehicle safely
  • Perform vehicle safety checks, cleaning, and basic upkeep
  • Provide a friendly, engaging experience during trips
  • Support activities and outings within the Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania, and Stafford areas
  • Drive residents to outings, health care appointments, banking and other activities as determined by the Lifestyle Director/Concierge and the Executive Director.
  • Assist residents with boarding and exiting the vehicle. Assist in loading packages, boxes, sacks, etc.
  • Coordinate Community transportation services ensuring the maintenance of the vehicles and adherence to the transportation budget and expenditures as directed.
