About The Position

The Driver operates and maintains a company tractor, trailer, and tanker to pick up and deliver hazardous materials and wastes. The role requires compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as well as company policies. Drivers work with tractor-trailer components, including bending and cranking landing gear, climb in and out of cabs, and sit for extended periods. The position is based at 108 Oakdale Rd, Jamestown, NC 27282.

Requirements

Ability to read, write, count, understand, and speak English.
Valid, unrestricted Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements.
Must be at least 22 years old.
At least 2 years of CDL-A driving experience.
Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions.
Ability to lift and carry at least 100 pounds, tilt back or break 800-pound net drums onto a dolly, and stand or walk for long periods.
Must wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Must test negative on the company's drug tests.
Must satisfy and maintain all DOT physical qualifications required to qualify for and maintain a CDL-A.
May handle potentially hazardous substances.

Responsibilities

Pick up and deliver hazardous materials and wastes.
Ensure the safety and compliance of each load.
Use the onboard Samsara e-Logging Device to manage driver duty statuses and planned freight-order delivery routing and sequencing.
Use an ePOD device to accurately capture customer delivery receipts and other relevant shipment documents.
Perform other duties as required to complete proper customer deliveries and pickups.
