Driver
About The Position
A nationally recognized comprehensive Health and Human Services Agency, with over 60 programs across New York City and greater New York Area. Samaritan Daytop Village serves over 33,000 New Yorkers annually within your neighborhoods and communities, so our success depends on those we employ. The Role Under the general direction of the Program Director, the Driver is responsible for transporting staff, patients, and supplies in a safe and orderly fashion by agency vehicle to appointments, other agency sites, etc. This work is carried out in support of the mission and goals of Samaritan Daytop Village.
Requirements
- Valid New York State Driver’s License.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- At least Five (5) years proven driving experience.
- No statutory or major violations listed on MVR.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Familiarity with GPS devices.
- Ability to remain calm in stressful driving situations such as rush hour, construction, and heavy traffic delays.
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds.
- Available to work a flexible schedule and be to work as needed in response to participant and staff needs.
