About The Position

Sandhill Cove Retirement Community is seeking a hospitality-focused Driver to transport residents to grocery stores, monthly outings, and scheduled extended trips. The position also assists with housekeeping duties as required. This role supports a community culture where employee engagement and business decisions contribute to revenue and occupancy.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least six months of experience as a 14-passenger bus or van driver.
• Valid Florida driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Drive a van, 14-passenger bus, or automobile on a regular schedule to meet residents’ transportation needs.
• Assist the Life Enrichment Manager or Life Enrichment Coordinator with helping residents on and off the bus or van.
• Track attendance and coordinate residents’ mobility equipment, including walkers, wheelchairs, and canes.
• Load groceries and other purchased items into the bus or van.
• Schedule and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance.
• Clean and wash the vehicle.
• Perform housekeeping functions as directed.
