About The Position

Sandhill Cove Retirement Community is seeking a hospitality-focused Driver to transport residents to grocery stores, monthly outings, and extended trips as scheduled. The position also assists with housekeeping duties as required. This is a per diem role scheduled for Saturdays from 3:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The pay rate is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least six months of experience as a bus (14-passenger) or van driver required.
• Valid Florida driver's license required.
• Ability to obtain CPR/AED certification required.

Responsibilities

• Drive a van, 14-passenger bus, or automobile on a regular schedule to meet resident needs.
• Assist the Life Enrichment Manager or Life Enrichment Coordinator with residents getting on and off the bus or van, track attendance, and coordinate equipment such as walkers, wheelchairs, and canes.
• Load groceries and other purchased items into the bus or van.
• Schedule and coordinate routine vehicle maintenance.
• Clean and wash the vehicle.
• Perform housekeeping functions as directed.
• Support a culture in which business decisions and employee engagement contribute to revenue and occupancy.
