About The Position

This is a Part Time Driver position with a salary range of $17.00 - $19.00 per hour. The role involves driving a delivery van/truck, loading and unloading the vehicle, collecting payments, and ensuring accurate deliveries. The driver will follow a preset route, maintain the vehicle, and assist the warehouse team when needed. Strong customer relations and the ability to work independently or in a team are essential.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license.
Maintain a clean driving record.
Complete ongoing safety training; never drive impaired.
Ability to work independently and in a small team.
Able to collaborate and communicate with other work teams.
Detail oriented for processing customer orders.
Able to use powered and manual equipment, cutting tools, and other tools.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Grip, lift, push, pull, and carry wheeled, plastic bins over, up and down inclines, stairs, changes in walking surfaces and elevations.
Walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift 25 pounds, 50 pounds on occasion, and 80 pounds as a team lift.
Able to work in coolers.
At least two years of retail, logistics, or warehouse experience required.

Responsibilities

Drive delivery van/truck.
Load/unload vehicle.
Collect payments from COD customer (cash, check) and following company cash processing procedures.
Alert salespersons/office of customer concerns or order discrepancies.
Follow preset delivery route.
Organize truck to ensure ease of delivery and unloading.
Close delivery run by checking into the office to review invoices, payments, and trip sheets.
Maintain vehicle; oil checks, refueling, etc.
Inform management of vehicle maintenance needs.
Alert leadership of accidents/tickets.
Customer relations when delivering orders.
Assist Warehouse Support team with assorted stocking or processing tasks.
Check outgoing product, for accuracy, against the customer invoice.
Straighten boxes, sweep floors, remove trash as needed.
Additional tasks as assigned by leadership.
