About The Position

Builders FirstSource is hiring a non-CDL Driver to load, transport, and deliver materials to customer sites. The role involves driving vehicles weighing 10,001–26,000 pounds, following driver safety and compliance regulations, delivering undamaged goods on schedule, and providing professional customer service. The Driver also maintains delivery and service logs, vehicle cleanliness and safety, and may handle product returns and operate material-handling equipment. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 21 years old.
• Valid driver's license and a passing motor vehicle record report.
• Fewer than five moving violations in the last five years.
• Obtain a DOT medical card within five days of a request.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to read and speak English.
• Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.

Nice To Haves

• Previous delivery experience, preferably involving building materials and delivery equipment.

Responsibilities

• Load and appropriately secure products, materials, or supplies inside the delivery vehicle.
• Deliver customer orders to specified sites and safely and accurately unload materials while protecting products and customer property.
• Verify order details, check items against invoices for accuracy, and maintain delivery logs documenting items or weights, mileage, and locations.
• Serve as a customer-service liaison between Builders FirstSource and site customers, handling concerns and helping resolve issues.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of delivery vehicles and perform routine safety checks to ensure compliance with company guidelines.
• Use handheld devices when not driving to comply with DVIR and HOS requirements.
• Maintain hours-of-service logs and complete pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Perform credit or product-return pickups and related paperwork as needed.
• Operate a forklift or non-motorized material-handling equipment to load and unload materials to designated areas.
• Follow safety procedures and practices, attend required safety meetings, and potentially recommend safety improvements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
