About The Position

Pyramid Healthcare is hiring a full-time Driver in Newport News, Virginia, to transport clients to and from programs, appointments, and approved locations. The Driver provides safe, reliable, respectful transportation for people receiving behavioral healthcare services and supports their access to treatment and recovery. Company vehicles and gas cards are provided, so employees do not incur personal vehicle fuel or wear-and-tear costs. The position follows a Tuesday–Saturday schedule from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM and pays up to $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Dependability, professionalism, and ability to work independently.
Comfort driving for extended periods and working with individuals receiving behavioral healthcare services.

Nice To Haves

Experience in medical or EMS services.
Experience in non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) or patient transportation.
Experience with Uber, Lyft, or other rideshare services.
Experience with Amazon or delivery services.
Healthcare or patient-care experience.
Behavioral health or substance use treatment experience.
