About The Position

The Driver is responsible for transporting residents to and from scheduled destinations and safely and effectively operating the community’s transportation vehicles. The role includes monitoring residents’ well-being during transportation, reporting changes in resident status, and maintaining vehicle and trip-related records. This is a PRN, on-call position scheduled five days per week, with a stated pay rate of $19 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
3–6 months of experience in a driving position, preferably with senior adults.
Knowledge of streets in the Denver Metro area and ability to navigate to and from destinations.
Valid state driver’s license and appropriate driving record.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to drive and maintain various types of vehicles.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Drive residents to and from specified destinations, including doctor’s appointments, grocery shopping, and other errands.
Monitor residents’ overall well-being and report changes in resident status to a supervisor.
May provide driver safety training to other operators.
Keep records of community vehicles’ preventive maintenance needs and associated costs.
Verify coordination between mileage records and gas expenses.
Prepare quarterly reports for management.
Report billable hours for residents.
Comply with all driver and motor vehicle guidelines.
Safely and effectively operate community transportation vehicles.
