About The Position

The CDL Driver (Class A/B Driver) will be responsible for delivering, unloading, and stocking merchandise along with their assigned stoker(s), adhering to proper safety guidelines on various job sites. This role requires the ability to lift weight, navigate stairs while carrying material, recognize inventory, and assist customers and coworkers to ensure proper stocking and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Valid class A/B driver's license required (required type is based on assigned truck).
  • Knowledge of safety procedures.
  • Ability to write discrepancies on tickets.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to adhere to established material delivery guidelines.
  • Capability of executing all tasks safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent customer service ability.
  • Must have own transportation to and from work.

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual – Spanish (May be waived)

Responsibilities

  • Preparing, inspecting, and operating the delivery vehicle.
  • Filling out Inspection Reports daily.
  • Delivering a wide variety of items to different addresses and through different routes.
  • Having full knowledge of inventory to ensure correct material is loaded before leaving the warehouse.
  • Responding to and dealing with customer communication by following ticket instructions.
  • Ensuring no incorrect material is delivered.
  • Maintaining constant communication with stockers to avoid errors.
  • Marking discrepancies on tickets to be taken back to the Logistics Department before leaving the jobsite.
  • Stocking material following ticket instructions.
  • Turning in complete paperwork to the Logistics Department daily.
  • Taking proper safety tools and supplies to every jobsite.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with supervisor and stocker to improve overall delivery service.
  • Attending monthly warehouse meetings to review opportunities for efficiency within the shipping and delivery process.
  • Completing logs and reports.
  • Following DOT regulations and safety standards.
  • Communicating with the Safety Manager when necessary.
  • Reporting work injuries the same day they occur.
  • Reporting absences in advance to the supervisor to help coordinate daily deliveries.
  • Demonstrating a positive attitude to show customers their business is appreciated.
  • Performing general warehouse duties when not driving, including housekeeping and stocking.
