About The Position
LA County Contracts starting hourly rate: $20.50/Hr. As a Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating a transit motor vehicle, providing reliable and efficient public transportation. We can put you on the road to a great career helping others!
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a valid California Driver’s license
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, and DOT physical
- A CDL with passenger Endorsement
- Possess excellent communication and decision-making skills
- Must maintain a valid driver license and all other required credentials, certifications, and qualifications
Nice To Haves
- Airbrake endorsement a plus
Responsibilities
- Safely operating a transit motor vehicle
- Providing reliable and efficient public transportation
- Assist passengers including those who use walkers, wheelchairs, and/or other mobility devices on and off the vehicle
- Transport passengers with disabilities including providing door to door service when required
- Safely and professionally manage conflict and/or difficult situations involving passengers
- Accept and accurately record passenger fares including cash, tickets, passes, and transfers
- Maintain a valid driver license and all other required credentials, certifications, and qualifications
