About The Position

Drives hospital vehicles to safely transport persons, supplies, and equipment, including loading and unloading. This is a full-time position with a shift from Sunday to Thursday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. The role involves independent judgment for minor decisions within established policies and protocols. The driver will work directly with patients, internal customers, external customers, and other healthcare professionals and staff. This position is classified as safety-sensitive under the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana Use and Patient Protection Act.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Oklahoma driver's license with a good record.
• Three (3) years record of safe driving without arrest for any vehicle violations, including DUI.
• 1 - 3 years related experience in driving vehicles up to and including two (2) ton trucks within the last five (5) years.
• Knowledge of Tulsa city streets.
• Ability to perform vehicle preventive maintenance and minor repairs.
• Ability to drive distances up to 100 miles as needed.

Responsibilities

• Drives vehicles to transport patients and employees.
• Drives vehicles to transport supplies, materials, and equipment.
• Loads and unloads materials and supplies.
• Drives vehicles to pick-up expedited supplies, using petty cash for payment as appropriate.
• Cleans and washes vehicles.
• Performs preventive maintenance on vehicles as scheduled.
• Performs minor repairs on vehicles as needed.
• Uses seatbelts when driving Saint Francis Hospital entity vehicles.
• Follows hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
