About The Position

Not a Bakery (NAB) began as a commissary kitchen supporting restaurants like Twelve, Evo Kitchen + Bar, The Good Table, and Douro, and has since grown into its own brand. Today, NAB wholesales to select purveyors and offers seasonal retail service from a food trailer in Portland, Maine. Built on a foundation of culinary creativity and craft, NAB focuses on producing exceptional breads and pastries that reflect both classic techniques and modern innovation. The team is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of quality, consistency, and hospitality while fostering a collaborative, respectful, and growth-oriented workplace. The Driver plays a key role in supporting daily operations by safely and efficiently delivering products from Not a Bakery to various restaurant locations and partners throughout the Portland area. This position ensures that deliveries arrive on time, in excellent condition, and in accordance with company standards.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work early mornings and/or flexible delivery schedules
• Reliable, punctual, and organized
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Ability to follow directions and maintain delivery accuracy

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with the Portland area is a plus

Responsibilities

• Safely transport baked goods, prepared foods, and other items to restaurant locations and partners
• Load and unload products while ensuring items are handled with care and maintained at proper temperatures
• Follow assigned delivery schedules and routes to ensure timely arrivals
• Communicate with kitchen teams and managers regarding delivery timing and any issues that arise
• Verify delivery contents and ensure accuracy of orders
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles
• Assist with basic packing, organization, or staging of deliveries when needed
• Adhere to all company safety, sanitation, and food handling standards
