About The Position

This position is responsible for driving a Salvation Army vehicle to transport passengers to and from Salvation Army activities and to pick-up and deliver food donations. The role involves providing transportation for members to and from the Corps on Sundays, for children to and from afternoon activities, and for miscellaneous items as needed.

Requirements

High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Two years’ experience operating an automotive vehicle, OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write and communicate the English language.
Ability to drive a vehicle in heavy traffic and extended trips.
Ability to lift 25-50 lbs.
Ability to spend the night away from home due to extended trips.
Ability to maintain required licenses and certifications required of the position.
Valid State Driver's License.
This position requires a level 2 background screening.

Responsibilities

Drives a Salvation Army vehicle in order to transport passengers to and from Salvation Army activities.
Drives a Salvation Army vehicle to pick-up food donations and deliver to The Salvation Army Food Services.
Provides transportation for members to and from the Corps each Sunday.
Provides transportation for children to and from afternoon activities.
Picks-up and delivers miscellaneous items as needed.
