Requirements

High School or equivalent education.
Neat appearance.
Reliable, polite, and self-motivated.
Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with clients from different backgrounds.
Ability to drive safely with good vision and hearing.
Active Utah Driver's License for at least 3 years and satisfactory MVR check (no more than 1 moving violation and/or at-fault accident in the past 3 years, and no drug or alcohol-related conviction on driving record in the last 10 years).
Eligible to work in the USA.
Receive flu shot, TB test, and COVID-19 vaccine (spiritual and medical waivers available).
One year of sobriety, if in recovery.
Adhere to Odyssey House mission, philosophy, and scope of service.
Adhere to Division of Human Services Code of Conduct and all other relevant service contract requirement standards.
Ensure a safe environment for all clients and staff.
Provide exemplary customer service to both internal and external customers.
Foster a positive work environment.
Ensure high-quality resident care within the scope of the assigned position.
Clearly understand roles and responsibilities regarding: Specific job position, time management, personnel file requirements, client record system, incident reporting, mandatory training requirements, maintaining proper client boundaries, and individual rights of clients and staff.

Flexible between 8 am to 8 pm on weekdays.

Responsibilities

Operate 14-passenger vans/buses in a safe and mature manner.
Transport clients and/or staff from Odyssey House facilities to and from various locations throughout the Salt Lake and Northern Utah areas.
Interact with clients, vendors, and others.
Provide excellent and safe transportation services.
Handle logistics effectively.
Organize travel routes and ensure daily pre-trip and mileage vehicle log paperwork is accurate and timely.
Communicate via cellular phone.
Clean vehicle and/or keep the van and/or bus clean during shift.
Report mechanical or other vehicle issues to the supervisor promptly.
Provide safe transportation to our facilities.
Help with luggage.
Assist with vehicle maintenance/cleanliness.
Assist with record keeping.
Coordinate with other staff to meet clients' needs.
Encourage clients as you see them progress in their treatment goals.
