About The Position

Tech Air is seeking a reliable, safety-minded Driver to ensure sheet metal materials, ductwork, and other essential supplies are safely and promptly transported from our fabrication shop to job sites. This role is crucial in maintaining project timelines and upholding our reputation for precision and reliability. The Driver will be responsible for timely deliveries according to a daily route schedule, conducting thorough pre-trip inspections, ensuring vehicle compliance with DOT and Tech Air safety standards, communicating proactively with field foremen and dispatch, assisting with offloading materials, and maintaining daily logs.

Requirements

Valid Class B or C Driver's License
Clean driving record (no DUIs, reckless driving, or major accidents)
Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred
Ability to lift and handle sheet metal materials safely up to 50 lbs
Must pass DOT physical and drug screen
Must pass a background check
Familiarity with GPS systems and mobile apps for logs
Ability to start early mornings (typically before 6 AM) through 4:30 PM
Comfortable working independently and in changing conditions

Responsibilities

Transport ductwork and materials according to a daily route schedule.
Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and ensure the vehicle meets all DOT and Tech Air safety standards.
Keep field foremen and dispatch updated on delivery times, delays, or any issues encountered.
Assist with offloading materials at job sites and verify that shipments match paperwork.
Maintain daily logs of hours worked, pre-trip inspections, and other required documentation.
