About The Position

The Driver is responsible for transporting goods from one location to another safely, efficiently, accurately, and damage-free according to project specifications and the Company’s commitment to quality. This includes loading and unloading designated items, ensuring all products are packed and delivered properly, and maintaining professional conduct at all times. The Driver adheres to assigned routes and time schedules, obtains customer approvals using provided tools, and documents any delivery-related issues with clear, concise information and photos. This role also involves collecting customer feedback when required and ensuring the vehicle and equipment are clean and maintained. The Driver serves as a direct representative of the company, delivering exceptional service with every interaction.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must have at the time of hire; and maintain throughout employment, a valid Non CDL-C drivers’ license, free of major infractions and acceptable to our insurance carrier.
  • Must have reliable transportation available at all times in case Company transportation is not available.
  • Ability to work irregular hours on occasion, with little or no notice.
  • Must have personal cell phone to use during the workday.
  • Computer proficiency including word processing, data entry, spreadsheets, and generating reports using standard software applications.
  • Ability to work independently, investigates problems, initiate solutions, work under deadline constraints, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Ability to maintain high standards of professional manner and personal appearance.
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to manage multiple projects and details simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including sensitivity and ability to work with confidential information.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop and maintain accurate records and data files.
  • Ability to operate various office equipment including computer, printer, telephone, fax machine, photocopier, and scanner.
  • Ability to operate hand tools, battery-powered drill/driver, truck, van, handcarts and dollies, truck lift gate, dock plates, trash compactor, and lift truck (requires certification).
  • Computer Software: Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, DDMS
  • Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, sit, stand, walk, push, pull, grasp, talk and hear.
  • Ability to exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Moderate mental and visual attention required for performing manual work, set-ups, and adjustments that require frequent decisions to detect and adjust for variance from proper operation.
  • The Driver is subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions, hazards and atmospheric conditions.
  • The Driver will be required to travel to customer sites in a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Inspects and loads designated items on truck per delivery ticket, ensuring accurate counts based on instructions from the Scheduler and/or Lead Technician.
  • Delivers and unpacks product to customer locations according to delivery tickets, without damage to product or jobsite.
  • Follows safe procedures at all times to protect people, product, equipment, and customers.
  • Maintains proper account of all required equipment.
  • Unloads equipment, tools, and returned product at the end of the day and places items in the designated returned goods area. Notifies manager of returns.
  • Discards all trash and cleans out the vehicle daily.
  • Maintains a professional image of self and company at all times; greets customers politely and pleasantly.
  • Must be punctual, with a well-groomed professional appearance and wear the company-provided uniform.
  • Obtains customer signature/approval upon delivery.
  • Completes and returns internal paperwork.
  • Captures customer signature on electronic device to verify delivery, which will trigger automatic invoicing.
  • Captures photo of delivery as boxes are placed, which attaches to system order.
  • Immediately reports any product or site damage to manager.
  • Documents issues clearly with relevant details and photos as needed.
  • Captures post-delivery customer feedback or survey responses using designated tools or apps when required (CF deliveries only).
  • Contribute to the overall success of the Company by performing all assigned duties in a professional, timely and accurate manner.
  • Follow all Company safety policies and procedures as set forth in the Employee Handbook, Corporate Safety Manual, and any local regulations.
