About The Position

World Electric is hiring a full-time Driver in West Palm Beach, Florida. The Warehouse Driver is the face of the company and uses a company-provided 24-foot state body truck to deliver materials to customers. The role is responsible for operating company equipment safely and ensuring products arrive in good condition. The driver works with sales associates or a manager to solve problems and meet customer needs, and interacts helpfully and cooperatively with customers and colleagues. The position involves loading and unloading trucks, building pallets to protect stock during delivery, maintaining the truck’s safe operating condition and clean appearance, and participating in workplace safety programs, including following safety procedures and wearing personal protective equipment. Physical work includes frequent handling of packages and may occasionally require lifting items over 75 pounds with assistance. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Clean motor vehicle record required.
Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and slide packages typically weighing up to 75 pounds.
Ability to occasionally lift items weighing more than 75 pounds with assistance.
Frequently stand, walk, bend, climb, reach with arms, and use hands continuously.
Maintain continuous mental and visual alertness to support safety and accuracy.
Flexibility and mobility in body movements.
Strong math and reading skills.

Responsibilities

Operate a motor vehicle safely and comply with state and federal laws and regulations.
Communicate with sales associates or a manager and problem-solve to meet customer needs.
Act helpfully and cooperatively toward customers and World Electric associates.
Ensure the truck is in safe operating condition and maintain a clean appearance.
Load and unload trucks with equipment.
Construct pallets based on delivery area to prevent stock from being damaged during delivery.
Participate in processes and programs promoting a safe work environment, including following safety procedures and wearing personal protective equipment.
Remove gates from flatbed trucks.
Perform other duties as assigned.
