About The Position

South Central Illinois Mass Transit District is actively seeking a responsible and motivated part-time Driver to provide safe and reliable public transportation to the communities we serve. This part-time public transportation position earns a competitive starting wage of $17 an hour (for non CDL) and $17.50 an hour (for CDL with passenger endorsement) plus a $0.50 increase after 90 days. We provide great benefits including paid vacation and holiday pay as well as IMRF retirement. Requirements

Minimum 21 years of age
High school diploma, GED, or related experience
Ability to obtain or possess a Class C CDL with passenger endorsement
Valid driver's license with a clean record
Open availability and flexibility with work schedule
Ability to pass a background check and a drug & alcohol screening
