About The Position

Provides safe transportation for Main Street Recovery Residents to but not limited to events, day trips, overnight trips, and recovery meetings. Provides assistance in the Recovery House as needed. Helps Safety Techs with other duties as assigned. Assures vehicles are cleaned on a weekly basis. Reports any concerns about residents to the Recovery House Manager immediately. Ensures residents are safe during transports. Transports residents to medical appointments and recovery meetings as needed. Provides assistance to residents that have been transported to events making sure they have what they need through the entire event. Maintains proper fluid levels in vehicles used, and reports any mechanical problems to the proper person. Documents all transportations of residents in the appropriate paperwork. Documents any incidents immediately and contacts supervisor. Works closely with the Recovery House Program Manager in other duties as needed. Performs a variety of other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year of experience working with the elderly population or closely related experience.
  • Valid Oregon driver’s license or obtain one upon hire.
  • Qualify for the Tribe’s vehicle insurance.
  • Provide proof of personal vehicle insurance.
  • If employee is in recovery, must have 2 years of sobriety.
  • Ability to obtain a CPR/First Aid certificate within 60 days of hire.
  • Ability to obtain a Food Handler’s card within 60 days of hire.
  • Ability to drive in various conditions and time of day.
  • Must have the ability to receive and understand direction and communicate with staff.
  • Must be dependable and team oriented.
  • Knowledge of and sensitivity to Native American culture required.
  • Candidates for this position will be subject to criminal and character background checks and may be subject to fingerprinting.

  • Basic kitchen knowledge preferred.
